In a surprising collaboration that breaks usual expectations, the game developer has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Disclosed

According to the authorized statement, "An unusual meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of forbidden practices and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The storyline introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a clandestine group.

The mission focuses on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Transformations

The teaser highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a striking sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Additional Content

Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to multiple items concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
